Call for Nomination and Election Guideline

Nepalese Association of Georgia (NAG) Election Commission is pleased to invite nominations from its members to serve on the Executive Board for a two-year term 2025-2026, beginning April 12, 2025.

The nomination is available for the following 13 positions.

Election Guidelines

1. As per by-laws of NAG, to file candidacy, one should become a member of NAG 30 days prior to the candidate nomination date.
2. To be eligible to vote, one should acquire membership 30 days prior to the candidate nomination date.
3. For the President position; candidates need to be a NAG executive member for at least two years before filing his/her candidacy.
4. Candidates can file nomination himself/herself for more than one position at the beginning; however, he/she needs to withdraw from the nominations within the due date and run for only one position. Failure to do so will automatically disqualify you from all the positions in the election.
5. Candidates are required to file nomination along with nomination fees (non-refundable) determined by the election commission through NAG website (nepalgeorgia.org).
6. Nomination form and fee must be submitted to Election Commission by the nomination due date through NAG website (nepalgeorgia.org).
7. Any candidate can withdraw their nomination by the nomination withdraw due date through NAG website (nepalgeorgia.org).
8. The vote counting will be done in a secured and confidential space where only the members of the election commission will be present.
9. If needed, some rules and guidelines could be added or modified by the election commission if required. Only this election commission holds the right to make the final decision if any issue/complication arises regarding the election procedure, rules, and regulations.
10. Candidates and their representatives are not allowed for their campaign within the premises of the election area on the ‘Election Day’.

March 14, 2025 – Voter List Correction Due
March 30 – April 4, 2025 – Candidacy Nomination
April 6, 2025 – Candidates Meet & Greet
April 7, 2025 – Candidacy Withdrawal due
April 8, 2025 – Final Candidacy List
April 12, 2025 – Election / New Year

The current general membership (CY2023-CY2025) expires on March 1, 2025. To be eligible to vote you must be a life member or renew your membership by March 5, 2025 for the two-year term.
